Sittin on the side stoop Thinkin bout his pigeon coop She walked up to him, long dark hair blowin in the wind She said, "ooooo, you sure look good". He said,"ooooo, can I talk to you?" She said, "oo oo e, do feel free.... And so goes the story of Cliff & Heidi From gig to gig they carried their gear Place to place for those with an ear They sang and they played with some of the best And the crowd sang too, with all of the rest Heidi would sing, Bruce'd be on bass Cliffy taking guitar out of the case Now let me explain. This ain;t no disco, this is real and comin at you, and if you're sitting next door at the restaurant having dinner, you'd better be prepared to do some rockin'. Bring it down, bring it down, Bruce would yell But the band played on like some cats out of Hell They sounded real good, and on a good night Jessie'd go home with only one fight They'd play song after song and after the set They'd laugh and they'd joke, on this you could bet Seemed more fun than real work but this you know Was the sign of real players, playing like pros It wasn't just dancing or drinking you see But for their music to be heard and remembered At least it was for me..
